I Carol JAWS instructions:

 

 Open I Carol,

1)     Press  Alt Shift c Enter. (Starting a new call) Press B (button) you’ll hear new contact form. Press enter.  Places you on the welcome screen.

2)  Press C(Combo boxes) Make sure you’re in forms mode. Tab through the form & use first letter navigation.

The required fields are:

a. Referral Source-How the caller found our number. Select from drop down list.

b. Inquiry Type- why the caller is calling. select from drop down list

c.  Call Type- the call type drop down box is defaulted to Transactional.

*Change for hang up call.

d. Age- This is for who the call is for  (Use number pad).

e. Gender-select from drop down list

f.    Language-select from drop down list

g. Caller Type -select  who the call was about from drop down list.

**Reminder: All fields must be filled in. Even for a Hang up call.

3)     Press  E or ctrl F to find location. Enter (you’ll be in forms mode). Enter callers  zip. You can arrow down to the correct location. Hit enter on the location you want.

**Note: Zip code required for a hang up call. Zip-00000

4)     Go to Links list. Press S 3 times. (Search for resource)  Enter. Type in taxonomy term, such as WIC etc.

Wait,             Wait for results. Arrow down &  Select your choice. Enter.

**Note: For some resources such as Medicaid, just enter. No choices available.

You’ll land on the first resource, arrow down for additional resources.

5)     Enter on the resource of your choice. Then Ctrl F and find phone. (Alternative words-site, location).

6)     Provide resource information.

**Note:  Arrow up & down  for additional information.

7)     Open links list Hit M for make referral enter. 

**Note: No referral, Links list R=return to main resource page. 

Select another resource or Unmet need. (Refer to unmet need document).

**Note: Links list S= Search for resource. Enter & type another taxonomy term if need.

8) Press C (Close window)  Returns you to the welcome screen.

9) Check form to be sure all fields are filled in, Press C.

10)                 Press B (button) till you hear Submit, Enter.

 

**Note: I look at the form as 3 pages.

1.      Welcome page where you fill in combo boxes & Zip code

2.      Resource page & Unmet need

3.      Resource information

When moving through the form, you start on pg 1, when you select resource from the links list and enter it takes you to pg 2. When you enter on the Resource it takes you to  pg 3 resource information.

When you make the referral (links list) it returns you to pg 2. When you close (B for button) it returns you to pg 1.

 

 

Hang Up calls:

Every field is required to be filled in. Including Zip Code field.

1)Referral Source -Select caller hung up

2)Inquiry Type-Select erroneous

3)Call Type-Change to Hung up

4)Age-Select Unknown

5)Gender-Select Unknown

6)Language-Select Unknown

7)Caller Type-Select Unknown

Fill out any information you may have captured.
